Mala: The students and teachers of Dr Raju Davis International School are thrilled to visit NASA in the United States of America. A group comprising 30 students and four teachers reached NASA for a two-day long visit, accepting the invitation from the space agency.
The team was led by school chairman Dr Raju Davis Perappadan and director Anna Grace Raju. Besides visiting the laboratories and the rocket launching centre, NASA had also allowed the students to attend the classes led by eminent scientists.
The students who visited the space shuttle mission attended an interactive session with astronaut Mark Kelly, who did the spacewalk. He also gifted them signed certificates of participation. The group was able to see the space shuttles used by the US and visit the rocket garden, space launch complex, hyper desk, Atlantis Saturn V Centre as well as the John F Kennedy Space Centre.
NASA had invited the students for a two-day visit to experience and learn its incredible contributions to space technology. Meanwhile, school chairman Dr Raju Davis Perappadan said that NASA has given sanction for class nine students of the school to visit the space centre every year. After that, the group visited the iconic Universal Studios and Disney World before winding up the US trip.Â
