The first full scene from Avatar: Fire and Ash has been revealed. The next sequel in James Cameron’s science-fiction franchise is set to make its theatrical debut on December 19, three years after the second movie, The Way of Water, came to theaters and went on to gross $2.3 billion at the worldwide box office.
During Monday Night Football’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Raiders, Fire and Ash’s first full scene was revealed. It features the movie’s villain, Varang (Oona Chaplin), and members of the Na’vi’s Ash People tribe hunting the children of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) across the jungles of Pandora.
When the Ash People catch sight of their prey, Lo’ak (Britain Dalton) says, “They’re coming” and descends into Pandora’s waters, followed by Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss), and the human Miles “Spider” Socorro (Jack Champion). Lo’ak encourages Kiri and Tuk that he has them as they swim and encourages them to say the family motto: “Sullys never quit.”
