Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been “hiding” from a US government committee’s request to question him, a congressman has reportedly said.

The disgraced brother of King Charles, who saw all his titles and honours axed by the King, has been asked to appear before the House Oversight Committee for a “transcribed interview” in connection with his “long-standing friendship” with the convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

A letter sent to Andrew by the committee 10 days ago, and signed by 16 members of Congress, has requested that he respond by this Thursday.

Suhas Subramanyam, one of the Democrat members of the committee, told The Guardian that the former duke “has been hiding from us, and I think he will continue to try to hide from people doing meaningful investigations of this matter”.
