WHEN ENNISCORTHY out-half Conal Kervick kicked a fine 40-metre penalty in the 63rd minute to put his team 20-12 in front, it meant Clogher Valley needed two scores to secure victory in Saturday’s Energia All-Ireland League Division 2B encounter.
However, the hosts failed to manage the remainder of the game and faltered badly in the last ten minutes as the defence had to withstand serious pressure.
