A Kerry-based vet is reminding people to keep safety in mind around animals, after he survived a bull attack on his own family farm.

Jarlath Sutton is a vet based at Sliabh Luachra Veterinary Centre in Rathmore.

He was lucky to survive a bull attack on his own family farm in Tipperary a few weeks ago, despite being around cattle all his life.

He broke two ribs and five vertebrae, but thankfully is recovering well.

Jarlath Sutton says it was a wake-up call for him and he’s reminding farmers to be vigilant.

And you can hear the full interview with Jarlath Sutton on this evening’s Agritime with Sari Houlihan, between 7-8pm.
