ESB NETWORKS is informing customers in West Limerick and surrounding areas of planned electricity outages to facilitate important network upgrades.
With an investment of over €200,000, the upgrade programme includes the replacement of electricity poles to deliver a stronger, more resilient network.

These works are scheduled to take place from 09:00 to 17:00 on November 26 and 27, across Abbeyfeale, Foynes and surroundings.
The improvements will enhance protection against severe weather events and provide customers with a higher quality and more reliable electricity service.
All affected customers will receive advance notification by post and SMS detailing the specific time and date of the outage in their area.
Ahead of the scheduled works, Ed Hunt, Area Manager with ESB Networks, said: “As part of our Networks for Net Zero Strategy, we are making substantial investments in our nationwide infrastructure to offer our customers a network with greater capacity, enhanced resilience, and improved support for clean energy integration.
“This will ensure a more resilient and improved network for our customers in Abbeyfeale, Ballygiltenon, Ballymurragh,Foynes Meenyline, Rathcahill, Robertstown, Stokesfield, Tullygoline, Tullyleague and the surrounding areas. We acknowledge the disruption to family and commercial life this causes and thank our customers for their patience during this time,” said Ed.
