Jungle newcomer Vogue Williams went face-to-face with a live snake – but completed her first Bushtucker trial successfully.

The 40-year-old, who recently arrived at the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! camp, admitted on last night’s episode, she was feeling very nervous before the trial, saying she was ‘absolutely terrified’.

Presenters Ant and Dec had earlier revealed in camp that all celebrities who had received badges would be receiving a full fry-up breakfast that morning.

However, as the two celebrities without a badge, Alex Scott and Shona McGarty would instead be facing that day’s bush tucker trial alongside ‘Chief Explorers’ Vogue and the other new arrival, Tom Read Wilson.

As they arrived at Camp Fright to take on the Tents of Torment, Ant and Dec wasted no time telling them what was in store.

Mother-of-three Vogue and Tom had to lie down in two separate tents, each with six stars on offer, held in place by padlocks. Alex and Shona had to search for the keys to unlock the padlocks in a pool of offal and fish guts.

Determined to all give it a go, they got in position with Vogue admitting she was terrified. As the trial began, Tom and Vogue, who is married to reality TV personality Spencer Matthews, were joined in their tent by a series of snakes.

Vogue got off to a flying start, unlocking two of her padlocks within the first minute; however, Ant and Dec were left gasping in horror as they saw a snake slither up Vogue’s stomach to look her in the eye.

As Vogue lifted up her head, she squealed: ‘Oh my God! Jesus, it’s a big one.’ As Vogue screamed with 15 snakes in her tent, Tom took a different approach by singing to himself in a bid to stay calm.

With Tom and Vogue successful in unlocking six padlocks each, it appeared Tom had an unwanted visitor, as he said: ‘I think one of you might be up my shorts…’ As he got up, a snake tail was indeed seen protruding from the bottom of his shorts, and the rangers managed to safely remove it. Thrilled to have got 12 out of 12 stars, they headed back to tell their fellow celebrities.

Returning to an empty camp, though, Alex was not pleased as she discovered the rice hadn’t been soaked and the camp was left in disarray, with food not cleared and ants everywhere.

Alex told them: ‘There was rice left over, all ants everywhere.’ Vogue added that the rice wasn’t soaked in water. As Martin and Kelly insisted that they did soak the rice, but it had absorbed, things got tense.

Alex told the Bush Telegraph: ‘Then why was it a mess?! Are they lying to us?’
