EastEnders’ Harry Mitchell’s drug-induced downward spiral continues next week, as his addiction leads him to steal money to fund his habit. Broken from his time in captivity, he was forced to turn to drugs to escape his bleak reality – but now he’s developed a serious dependency.

Harry is trying to keep the extent of his addiction a secret from his worried family, but without any income of his own, he’s forced into desperate measures to get his fix…

Seeking out his next hit, Harry lies to his mum Nicola about needing her credit card for something, but secretly uses it to buy drugs. When Nicola then heads off to court for Teddy’s bail hearing, she leaves Harry with Billy and Honey – but it’s not long before he’s on the rob again.

“Unbeknown to Harry, his dad Teddy plans to plead guilty,” explains our insider. “Nicola is worried what this news will do to her already fragile son, so she decides to go to court alone.
