Nicole Kidman is in awe of her two babygirls.
After all, the Nine Perfect Strangers actor shared that her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14—whom she shares with estranged husband Keith Urban—have already learned to protect their peace when dealing with negative opinions on social media.
“You’re very young, and then suddenly, you’re put into this fishbowl and everything is dissected,” Nicole told Ariana Grande in a Oct. 19 conversation for Interview published Nov. 24. “It starts to get very, very difficult. And then you overthink it, you get scared, you get hurt, and then you go, ‘Now I don’t want to go out. I don’t want to venture into this world.’ I get it.”
Since the Big Little Lies star debuted in her first film at 16, she understands how fame can be “a constant push-pull” of emotions, especially for teens. But as Sunday and Faith continue to build their names in the modeling world, Nicole noticed they aren’t as nervous to be in the spotlight.

“I’m raising teenage girls right now, and it’s fascinating,” she explained. “I think they have an armor that we didn’t get, or that I certainly didn’t get, because there was no social media. The very, very young now have already gone, ‘We know exactly how to handle this.’”
She continued, “They don’t take a lot of things personally. They shrug it off.”
And when Ariana admitted she wants “a little dose of that” confidence, Nicole replied, “Yeah, we need that lesson.”

However, it seems the Bewitched alum—also mom to Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, with ex Tom Cruise—has been building her own armor when addressing her ongoing divorce to Keith. (The longtime couple announced their separation in September, and E! News subsequently learned they were living apart “since the beginning of summer.”)
Indeed, Nicole has shared subtle details about her personal life as she starts this new chapter. And in her conversation with the Eternal Sunshine singer, she confirmed that she’s been surrounded by her loved ones amid the divorce, including her Practical Magic 2 costars.
“I’m hanging in there. I felt protected and loved,” Nicole added of working with Sandra Bullock, Joey King and Maisie Williams. “It was just very, very safe.”

“The first thing I thought of with your beautiful wife, Nicole Kidman, being on so many great movies, TV shows all the time,” a radio host said on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning. “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
“He’s disconnected from Zoom,” a radio staffer said. “I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question.”
His rep didn’t respond to E!’s request for comment at the time.
July 24, 2025: It’s Revealed That Nicole Kidman Applied for Residency in Portugal
E! News learned that the Practical Magic star had submitted application to become a resident of Portugal, with Urban preparing to do the same himself.
“Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.,” a source with knowledge of the situation told E!, “and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule.”
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.
Aug. 6, 2025: Sunday Rose Shares Insight Into Family Life
The couple’s eldest daughter Sunday Rose shed light on on their parenting dynamic in an interview, saying that “there are two big rules” at home.
“The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16,” she told Nylon, “and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset.”

In August, her lawyer prepared a Child Support Worksheet included in a Parenting Plan stating that Kidman and Urban would be “joint custodians” of their teen daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
However, the Oscar winner was listed as the “primary residential parent,” with the girls spending 306 days a year with their mother and 59 days with their father (Urban will have the children every other weekend.).
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by E! News.
“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” it stated. “They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Aug. 29, 2025: Keith Urban Signs Paperwork
Urban moved forward with their Marital Dissolution Agreement, getting it notorized in August, per the doc obtained by E! News.
The document said that Kidman would “institute divorce proceedings against” him due to irreconcilable differences. It also stated that neither party would be getting alimony or spousal support in their split.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.
Sept. 6, 2025: Nicole Kidman Signs Paperwork
A week after Urban, the actress had the Marital Dissolution Agreement notorized as well and signed the Parenting Plan.
The same day, a judge signed off on an order that both stars would complete a manditory parenting seminar unless they file for an exemption, per the doc obtained by E! News.
