Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale teased that Kev Townsend could soon exit the series after Aaron Dingle made a huge discovery. With Aaron embarking on a not-so-secret relationship with Robert Sugden, could this be the crucial piece to happiness?
Kev arrived in the Dales back in September as he sought his husband Robert, with it becoming quickly apparent that their relationship was troubled. Robert believed that Kev was terminally ill, and was planning to claim some money.
It was later revealed that Kev was on the mend, a fact which jeopardised Robert’s dream future with Aaron. Kev has spotted that the former couple have been getting closer, and sought to claim Robert back.
Tuesday’s (25 November) episode of the ITV soap began with Robert sneaking out as he was picked up by Aaron, with the pair starting their quest to find Kev’s hefty stash of stolen loot. Just before they left, Chas spotted them together.

Kev, meanwhile, headed to Liam Cavanagh to discuss his health and his latest plan. As he departed, he almost bumped into Aaron and Robert, though Liam overheard the group talking and had to explain his own involvement with Kev.
After Robert, Aaron and Chas all discussed what the ideal course of action was, Liam delivered the bombshell that Kev’s condition wasn’t terminal after all. Aaron looked stunned, while Robert was reeling.
Robert and Aaron maintain that going through with their plan of tailing Kev is still the best idea, with Chas explaining that Liam’s status as a doctor would stand him in good stead with the authorities should it ever come to that point.

Aaron soon began to follow Kev around the village, with the newcomer heading to the church. It was revealed that the loot was stashed there, and Aaron realised that he had hit the jackpot – will they be able to get rid of Kev for good?
While it appears that Kev’s demise is imminent, it was recently rumoured that bosses at the soap were lining up actor Chris Coghill to reprise his role in the future. With plenty of avenues to explore, what does the future hold for Kev?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
