David Letterman on Tuesday reacted to Donald Trump’s repeated social media attacks against “Late Night” host Seth Meyers, including the president’s calls for NBC to “IMMEDIATELY” fire the comedian this month.

“I thought, ‘This is just delightful, let me — how do you think that’s going to go?’” said Letterman of Trump’s request in a clip shared to his YouTube page.

“So anyway, I’ve never been more proud of Seth Meyers. … He does a magical job. But just remember, Seth, things happen!”

Earlier this month, Trump took aim at Meyers for mocking his complaints about “catapults” on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers, writing on his Truth Social platform that the comedian was a “truly deranged lunatic” and “100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”

Days later, Meyers directly responded to Trump’s attack with a supercut that tore apart the president’s claim that he “endlessly” discussed catapults.

Nearly two weeks later, Trump reignited his beef with Meyers after NBC seemingly aired a rerun of the episode with the catapults jokes.

Meyers again used his show to respond to Trump by joking that the president can’t “get mad a second time for the same thing when it’s in a repeat” episode.

Letterman — who went to bat for his friend, Jimmy Kimmel, in September after ABC indefinitely suspended his show following Trump administration threats — took on the president again on Tuesday after his former “Late Show” producer, Barbara Gaines, referred to the president’s recent “piggy” insult.

“Oh man, just a wonder of idiocy. It’s just fantastic, it knows no bounds,” Letterman said.

“It’s never-ending, he’s our current — he’s our dictator. He’s not going anywhere.”

He later continued, “It’s like 18 times the worst behavior one has witnessed ever anywhere, it’s worse. Think of the worst thing that you’ve ever seen humans accomplish. This is so much worse.”
