iQOO has just introduced the iQOO 15 in India, the most advanced flagship the brand has ever released. Following its launch in China, the Indian model comes with essentially the same hardware, headlined by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a new 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and improved software with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The update is iQOO’s first big software transition for the Indian market, and the phone tries to bridge the gap between the raw performance and new layers of AI-driven enhancements.

Availability

Sales of the iQOO 15 will be conducted through the official website of iQOO and Amazon India. The company says that details on pre-orders and introductory offers will be announced closer to the date of the sale. The device will also be available in select offline stores across key markets.

Display and Performance

It features a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 2K resolution, and an advanced M14 panel from Samsung. It’s powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, supported by a dedicated Q3 gaming chip. This promises to bring increased frame stability, smoother performance, and further reduced latency during intense gaming. OriginOS 6 introduces a host of new AI-driven optimisations for better multitasking, smarter camera processing, and general system management.

Camera System

The iQOO 15 carries a triple 50MP camera system that includes a primary sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a periscope telephoto unit. iQOO has also integrated RGB lighting around the camera housing, adding a distinct gaming aesthetic that complements the device’s performance-centric DNA.

Battery and Charging

The smartphone features a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, providing a higher density and longer lifespan than its traditional lithium counterparts. There’s also support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. iQOO has already said that it will support the iQOO 15 for up to five years of OS support, which puts it in line with long-term flagship devices.
