It was only last month that Taylor Swift released her new album The Life Of A Showgirl. Remember that? She shared a lot of variants, broke sales records, and occupied all top 10 slots on the Hot 100 chart. Yesterday she dropped more variants with three limited edition holiday vinyl, and now she’s unveiling a Chainsmokers remix of the opener “The Fate Of Ophelia.”
“The Fate Of Ophelia (Chainsmokers Remix)” is an official remix, though it’s currently only available on iTunes for purchase and Amazon Music. In her 2019 essay for Elle, Swift referenced the Chainsmokers’ Halsey collab “Closer,” to which they replied, “Awesome article about song writing and thanks for mentioning one of our songs in the context of visceral song writing … a ton of your songs inspired ours, but you know that already.” Travis Kelce is also a fan.
In other recent Chainsmokers news, the DJ duo did an unofficial remix of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” which the singer never acknowledged. Last month, Republican NYC mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa said the Chainsmokers were his favorite venue in the city, and it cost him the election.
