Fine Gael presidential hopeful Mairead McGuinness appeared at an event to honour her former party leader Enda Kenny this week after pulling out of the race to the Áras on health grounds during the summer.
Ms McGuinness, who withdrew from the presidential race in August, was among guests at the event in Trinity College Dublin on Tuesday night where the former taoiseach was presented with the inaugural European Laureate Award.
