Willie Connors, Jake Morris, Conor Martin, Chris O’Donnell, and local hero Jack O’Callaghan, who returned to his primary school with an Under-20 All-Ireland medal to add to his Minor title, were welcomed by Principal Maria Geaney and staff.
The school was awash in blue and gold as students greeted the players and their trophies. The morning included a recap of the All-Ireland final from Principal Geaney, followed by a lively question-and-answer session with the hurlers. Children also performed songs and music, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Gary O’Connor, Tipperary GDA, accompanied the players and helped organise the visit. Club representative John Sheedy offered words of encouragement to the children, urging them to get out and enjoy hurling and camogie. Teachers were also praised for preparing the students for the special event, making the visit a memorable day for all.
