There was Donegal delight for the Republic of Ireland Under-16s against Greece at the Carlisle Grounds in Bray in Thursday evening’s international friendly.

Ireland ran out 4-0 winners, following on from a 2-1 loss against the same team two days beforehand, with Jamie O’Donnell, Michael McColgan and Charlie McGarvey all playing their part.

Buncrana native O’Donnell was on the scoresheet for the second game in a row, while his Derry City clubmate McColgan from Muff also netted. Goalkeeper McGarvey, from Letterkenny and on the books of Sligo Rovers, was a second half substitute and helped Ireland to a clean sheet.  The two friendlies were part of a week-long 30-man training camp.
