When Patrick Kielty was growing up, he played Gaelic football as a goalkeeper. It was a position, he says, that could swing “from zero to hero” and back again.
“If a goalkeeper saves the ball, it’s like ‘Oh my god!’ He might have just won the match. If a goalkeeper drops the ball, it’s the goalkeeper who has completely lost it.
