Gardaí were alerted to the discovery of a woman’s body at a residence in Adamstown on Monday afternoon.
The body of the deceased, a woman in her 40s, was removed to the Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall where a post-mortem examination has since taken place.
It is understood that foul play is not suspected at this time.
A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “A technical examination of the scene was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.
“A file will now be prepared for the Coroner’s office.”
