After American Pickers star Danielle Colby made a statement claiming the show would be wrapping up soon, a network insider has exclusively told The Irish Star US that their announcement was completely false.
A+E’s Dan Silberman revealed, “There is no truth to that. We are not currently producing episodes because we have a full season in the can and Mike [Wolfe’s] upcoming spin-off.” Silberman contradicted Colby’s claim with his own statement, and even revealed that American Pickers creator Mike Wolfe will be launching his own spin-off for devoted viewers of the popular show. The project comes right after he shuttered his Nashville storefront.
The network executive’s remarks came one day after Colby, 50, posted to Instagram on December 3. They informed fans in a now-deleted video, “I just found out that American Pickers is done. I am at this epic crossroads where I’ve laid out what I want to do, so I already have that plan in motion.”

Colby went on. “But now is the time where I like have to fully dig in and commit to this plan that I have laid out. And without the financial support of American Pickers, it’s going to be a wild one.”
“You can come with me on this process as a former reality TV star just trying to find her f—— way in the world. Because what do I do now?” they said. “I’ve got the plan. We’re moving forward.”
At the time, viewers were heartbroken. In the comment section, numerous fans expressed feelings such as, “End of an era,” and, “I will miss it.

“I’m bummed but that is one helluva run,” another fan remarked before it was confirmed the news was false.
However, one fan suspected something was amiss and commented, “Nice try…. new season just started last week. Had another new episode just yesterday.”
Since the video was shared, Colby has once again deactivated their Instagram account.
American Pickers is on A+E
Colby has been a part of the show since its inception in 2010, and has stayed faithful to the franchise for the past 15 years. They took a brief break in 2022 due to health problems.
In the meantime, Wolfe’s brand new History Channel spin-off, History’s Greatest Picks With Mike Wolfe, was announced in late 2025 and is slated to debut in 2026.
The program will concentrate on preserving and investigating historical artifacts and antiques.
Wolfe will also venture into film acting and has shut down his Antique Archaeology Nashville store to make way for other endeavors.
