Roberto Lopes of Shamrock Rovers recipient of the Soccer Writers Ireland 2024 Men’s Personality of the Year Award
Shamrock Rovers were the big winners at today’s SSE Airtricity/Soccer Writers Ireland annual awards ceremony with captain Roberto Lopes and goalkeeper Ed McGinty each taking home individual prizes.
After helping the Hoops to a first league and FAI Cup double since 1987 this year, Lopes was named 2025 Men’s Personality of the Year, beating his manager Stephen Bradley and Shelbourne boss Joey O’Brien in the voting process.
