Heimir Hallgrimsson is confident that Ireland has what it takes to make it out of their potential 2026 World Cup group as this evening’s draw pitted them against Mexico, South Africa and South Korea, should the Boys in Green qualify via the play-offs in March.

The Icelander was in attendance at the Kennedy Center today as the draw for next summer’s 48-team tournament was held in Washington DC, with Ireland to face co-hosts Mexico in Group A, as well as South Africa and South Korea (for the first time) should they make it through the play-offs.
