The Government, in its various guises, has created layers of red tape that delay development. But it’s easier to blame objectors. The public isn’t buying it, though.

Democracy is fabulous. We had it on full display as Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky came to town last week. After three-and-a-half years of being under continual threat from assassination from the Russians, he was subjected to the dangers of Government backbenchers thrusting themselves forward to shake his hand in the Dáil chamber.
