All counties can expect very strong winds on Tuesday.
Met Éireann Weather Warnings Explained
Met Éireann meteorologist Deirdre Lowe said: “There is some uncertainty in the track of a deepening area of low pressure which is expected to move up from the South Atlantic close to Ireland on Monday night into Tuesday.”
“Current indications suggest that it will become wet on Monday night with some heavy falls of rain and spot flooding possible, particularly in the southern parts.
“The rain is giving way to brighter, showery conditions on Tuesday. Strong winds look likely to develop too, and it may possibly turn stormy in parts of the west and north in particular.
“However, it will stay mild,” she added.
