A fresh new sound is coming to the area thanks to the ‘Marcher Vibe’ team.

They have announced that the city’s newest radio station will launch at 7am on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Created for listeners aged 35 to 54, Marcher Vibe will deliver a vibrant mix of classic hits from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s.

That will be alongside the best adult-friendly chart hits of today, offering a soundtrack designed to energise Wrexham every day.

The station is the brainchild of popular local presenter Dave Lee (formerly of Marcher Sound and MFM), who is returning to full-time broadcasting to host the weekday Breakfast Show from 7am to 10am.

The station is also available online and through the Marcher Vibe mobile app, which is CarPlay-enabled and free to download on both Apple and Android devices via the App Store and Google Play.

Dave Lee said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to launch Marcher Vibe and to get back on the Wrexham airwaves every morning. It’s been 17 years since my last breakfast show here, and I’ve missed that connection massively.

“This station is for the people of Wrexham, and I can’t wait to start the day with them again. And if you want to be part of the journey from day one, make sure you download the Marcher Vibe app, it’s available now, it’s free, easy to use, and it lets you take us with you wherever you go.”
