James Hilton, founder of online fitness platform Jim’s Gym, launched his new studio in Nailsworth earlier this year.
Based just outside Stroud, the studio serves as a dedicated space to support his growing online community, which promotes fitness for people aged 55 and above.
Mr Hilton said: “It’s been a busy few weeks getting everything set up, but it already feels like home.
“Nailsworth has such a great community feel and it’s the perfect place to keep growing what I do.
“I’m really looking forward to establishing my business in the town.”

He specialises in working with clients over 50, supporting those who feel unbalanced or less stable, are recovering from illness or injury, or simply want to regain confidence in daily physical activity.
Mr Hilton added: “Progress often shows up in small ways.
“Someone may realise they can jump up out of a chair effortlessly.
“Someone else notices they can walk a little bit faster than they used to when out with friends.”
Each in-person session is tailored to the individual, helping clients reach their goals efficiently while ensuring the experience is enjoyable.
In addition to the studio, Mr Hilton continues to run Jim’s Gym, an online fitness community for people aged 55 and over.
Members can access live and recorded sessions across strength training, yoga, Pilates, tai chi and dance exercise.
The platform also includes book, art and craft clubs, helping to foster a sense of connection and community.
Mr Hilton said: “Working one-to-one has always been an important part of what I do, helping people reap the benefits of having more energy or the confidence they feel being stronger.
“My online platform, Jim’s Gym, allows me to reach even more people, and breaks down a lot of barriers to entry, like cost, mobility and a lack of desire to join a traditional gym.”
With the studio now open, Mr Hilton is inviting people aged 50 and over to join his community and feel stronger and more able in everyday life.
The studio is located at 3 Fountain Street, Nailsworth, GL6 0BL, with access via the rear entrance.
