Katy Perry has gone ‘Instagram official’ with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The pop star shared a range of photographs and videos from the couple’s trip to Japan.

Neither Perry nor Trudeau has publicly commented on their relationship and it is a rarity that one of them has shared photos together.

In one photo, the pair are smiling in a selfie and their faces are pressed together. They are then seen eating sushi in another video.

Rumours of their romance first began circulating towards the end of the summer after Perry had ended her seven-year relationship with Orlando Bloom in July.

The pair were spotted having dinner together in Montreal, before Trudeau was seen at the singer’s concert a few days later.

Videos spread like wildfire on social media of Trudeau belting out the pop star’s iconic hits ‘Firework’ and ‘Dark Horse’.

Afterwards, it was assumed by many that they had struck up a relationship.

Earlier this week, Trudeau reposted a photograph of the pair together alongside the former prime minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, and his wife, Yuko.

He wrote on X: ‘Great to see you [Fumio Kishida]. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.

‘Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.’

Last month, their relationship was essentially confirmed after they were photographed holding hands at an event in Paris. TMZ published the photographs and footage of them walking and getting into a car.

Trudeau was seen helping Perry into the back seat as photographers called out.

This coincided with the singer’s 41st birthday and appeared to mark their first public outing as a couple.

Trudeau was previously married to Sophie Grégoire for 18 years before splitting up in the summer of 2023. They have three children together.
