Parents have raised fresh concerns about lengthy wait times at the paediatric Accident and Emergency department (ED) in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLOH) in Drogheda as the hospital continues to experience significant pressure heading into the winter surge period.
Families have reported routinely waiting extended periods for assessment and treatment, with increasing frustration over the lack of clear information on expected wait times or staffing levels. Some parents say they feel “left in the dark”, unsure whether to wait, leave, or seek care elsewhere.
