GARDAI in Limerick have arrested one man and seized over €125,000 of drugs in the city on Saturday night.
A garda spokesperson said during the course of a search at a property in the south of Limerick city, cannabis herb with an estimated value in excess of €125,000 was seized. The operation was conducted by members of the Divisional Drugs Unit.

“A man, aged in his 50s, was subsequently arrested in connection with the investigation, and detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a garda station in the Limerick area,” said the garda spokesperson.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
“Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.
