Question: My husband’s father was a lovely man but a functioning alcoholic. For almost 25 years I have also witnessed my husband drinking heavily. He is not violent or verbally abusive, nor does it impact me financially.
He drinks every weekend, all three nights, and starts early on a Sunday right through to bed time. I have tried to address this on many occasions, and used different approaches, none of which have ever led to him admitting there’s a problem.
