Emergency services were called to the scene of a road crash on the M18 motorway.

Three cars were involved in a collision on the southbound lane between Junction 11 Dromoland and Junction 10 Newmarket on Fergus just after half past seven this Monday morning.

Units from Clare County Fire Service, Ambulance and Gardaí attended the scene.

It’s not yet known if there are any serious injuries.

The motorway was closed for a time, resulting in long traffic delays, but has since re-opened.
