Major dairy- and beef-finishing firm has €351,000 debt to Cork Cooperative Marts Ltd

The news that Nicholas Galvin Ltd, a major dairy and beef finishing firm based in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, entered provisional liquidation in November sent ripples through the cattle sector.
While a High Court decision quickly secured the welfare of the company’s herd of more than 200 cattle at the time, the real shock lies in the €351,000 debt acknowledged by the firm to Cork Cooperative Marts Ltd.
