Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has hailed the impact of his assistant Paddy McCarthy in their recent success and revealed he allowed the Ireland assistant coach an extra day off after last month’s comeback victory over Hungary.
The Eagles are in Dublin to face Shelbourne in Thursday night’s Conference League clash for their first competitive meeting with a League of Ireland side, and while the Premier League outfit have ambitions of winning the competition next summer, a win in Tallaght would see them book a play-off spot for the knockout phase at least with one league phase game remaining.
