A Leitrim club is bringing a motion to its county convention next week, seeking to prohibit club players from playing with a county that is not where the club of which they are a “registered active member” is located.
In short, if the motion were passed by Leitrim GAA and was successful at GAA Congress, it would prevent players like Shane Walsh and Céin D’Arcy from playing for Galway while also being involved with Dublin clubs Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden St Enda’s respectively.
