Jailed teacher Enoch Burke has failed in an eleventh-hour bid to defer the long-awaited hearing of his appeal against his dismissal by Wilson’s Hospital School.
Mr Burke was brought from Mountjoy Prison to the Court of Appeal today to make an application for a stay on the hearing of the disciplinary appeals panel (DAP) pending a challenge he wishes to bring to the Supreme Court.
