Maxi Curran’s St Ergnat’s, Moneyglass were defeated in the final of the All-Ireland Ladies SFC by the five-in-a-row winners Kilkerrin-Clonberne in Croke Park.
The Antrim and Ulster champions went into the game as big underdogs against the impressive and all-conquering Galway side.
And a 2-8 to 1-5 defeat ended their dreams as goals in either half from Chloe Miskell and Lynsey Noone set the Connacht champions on their way.
Leah Stewart’s goal made it a two point game at the break at 1-4 to 1-2, shortly after a clinical strike from Miskell.
