A convicted rapist has had his sentence increased in a decision welcomed by one of his victims, who said she can “now begin the long journey towards healing”.
David Hamilton (33), of Woodtown West, Athboy, Co Meath, has had his six-and-a-half-year jail term increased by a year at the Court of Appeal last week.
