Cork firm Musgrave has raised €200,000 through its ‘Gives Back’ charity initiative in 2025.

Luke Hanlon, managing director of SuperValu and Centra, praised all who contributed with fundraising this year.

“It’s inspiring to see Musgrave Gives Back continue to grow year after year, and this year was no exception, with an incredible €200,000 raised for such important causes,” he said. 

“I want to extend my sincere thanks to our colleagues and their families for their commitment and enthusiasm.

“The charities we support do extraordinary work and together, we’re helping to make a meaningful difference.”

The food retail, wholesale, and food service company’s Gives Back campaign is a long standing initiative supporting Irish charities nationwide that Started in 2002 as the Musgrave Triathlon.

The fundraiser has grown into a national movement which has since raised over €5.7m for vital causes.

Each year, Musgrave colleagues nominate and select Irish charities to support. For 2025, the chosen charities were Breakthrough Cancer Research, HUGG, MS Ireland, and Homeless Help.

The 2025 campaign concluded with the Musgrave Fun Day at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in August.

The event brought together hundreds of people for a 5K run, soccer tournament, tug of war, and a festival of food, music, and community celebration.

Building on 2024, when €190,000 was raised for charities like Oscar’s Kids and Anam Cara, this year a total of total €200,000 was raised for the four selected charities, with an additional €1,000 awarded to the charity Order of Malta Ireland.
