If you’re on the hunt for a captivating mystery drama series, look no further than this recent addition featuring a Hollywood star, reports the Irish Mirror.

This show follows in the footsteps of others, including a “brilliant” crime drama, an Irish thriller and a “haunting” drama.

Debuting in the summer of this year, the new series has been met with high praise from audiences on IMDb.

One glowing 10/10 review hailed the show as “excellent”, with the viewer adding: “An added bonus to see beautiful picturesque Ireland. Great acting by all the actors. I love this new show and am looking forward to watching the rest of the season.”

Another top-rated review stated: “It’s refreshing to see a cast containing strong female actors who don’t have to deal with or deal around male leads. Treat yourself and ignore the you’d-be-pretty-if-you’d-smile reviews and watch this for great acting and quality writing.”

A further 10/10 review saw the viewer pleading for the show’s renewal and singing its praises. The individual commented: “This is very well cast with Ireland as the lead character. The story is very well crafted and we haven’t fought any gaping holes two episodes in.”

Meanwhile, an 8/10 review noted: “Gorgeous. The scenery and cinematography are so thoughtfully done and every frame feels deliberate, like the setting is a character of its own. And the characters are worth watching. The way they interact is layered, subtle, and unfolding in a way that keeps me engaged without being heavy-handed.”

The viewer concluded: “Bottom line: skeptical me is now invested me. This is a definite watch.”

Another review, scoring 8/10, was titled: “Well worth a watch”, with the reviewer elaborating: “I’m always looking for the next mystery drama to fill my time, many end up being forgettable and flat, but this is one of the better ones.”

Irish Blood made its debut on streaming platform Acorn TV in August this year, tracing the journey of an American lawyer who travels to Ireland to uncover why her estranged father abandoned her during her childhood.
