Coronation Street fans believe they’ve cracked the case of Theo Silverton’s downfall after Monday’s episode, which focused on Todd Grimshaw’s distressing abuse storyline.
Theo made his debut on the cobbles earlier this year as Todd’s new love interest. However, it wasn’t long before Theo’s dark side emerged, as he began to control Todd, attempting to dictate every aspect of his life and isolate him from his loved ones.
In recent episodes, the abuse has escalated to include physical violence in heart-wrenching scenes, with a terrified Todd resorting to hidden surveillance equipment in their flat to document his partner’s actions.
Monday night’s episode was uniquely presented through various recording devices including Todd’s secret camera, CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, video doorbell captures and police body-worn cameras, revealing the harsh reality of what transpires behind closed doors through a series of flashbacks.
After a week of unsettling scenes showing Theo’s controlling and abusive behaviour towards Todd, the latter finally reached his limit and confronted his vile partner upon discovering he had been secretly tracking his movements, reports the Daily Star.

During the heated showdown, Theo attempted to attack Todd as he announced his decision to end the relationship and demanded that Theo stop his manipulative behaviour for good, insisting he leave the flat immediately.
Theo was labelled as “vile” by Todd before being pushed, leading Todd to defend himself by shoving Theo, who ended up crashing into a coffee table and lying motionless.
After the outdoor commotion, concerned locals from Weatherfield alerted the police, resulting in Todd’s arrest while Theo was whisked off to hospital.
Despite the circumstances, Todd chose to keep mum about the truth, insisting it was just an accident, while Theo was treated as the victim in a shocking twist. The police even handed him leaflets on domestic violence.
Both Todd and Theo eventually made their way back home, where Theo continued to manipulate Todd. Things took a darker turn when Theo stumbled upon the surveillance equipment Todd had installed.

He confronted Todd, demanding: “Have you been filming us, have you been filming me, Todd? Is that a camera? Have you been filming us, have you?” He brandished the device at Todd as the episode drew to a close.
Viewers, now taking to Twitter under X, are speculating whether the already recorded footage could be used against Theo, leading to his arrest.
One viewer pondered: “Surely the Police will be able to watch previous footage? ? #Corrie”, another tweeted: “Good on Todd’s cams for evidence!” A third chimed in: “I’m hoping Todd has set them cameras up and going to collect evidence and get Theo locked up. But it’s #Corrie so it’s never that simple is it.”
