Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian brought his daughters Olympia, 8, and Adira, 2, to a bookstore, and he had a humbling moment with his eldest. The Reddit co-founder shared a hilarious video of himself catching shade by his daughter, and she’s already fully acting like a pre-teen!
Olympia found a magazine with a Labubu doll on the cover at the bookstore, and Ohanian tries to convince her to pick something else.

“Don’t you want to look at some of these business books down here?” Ohanian asks his daughter, pointing to a section that includes Inc., of which Ohanian is the cover star.

“No,” she immediately responds. He asks if she’s sure, and she responds with so much sass, “Yeah, I know, I see you,” Olympia says. He tries again, and she answers, “No! Yeah, I know it’s you. I want this,” referring to the Labubu magazine.
Ohanian gives up, instead turns to his youngest daughter. “Didi, look,” he says, pointing out the magazine. The toddler walks up to it and grabs a copy of the magazine. “It’s Papa!” she shouts as she picks up the magazine with a smile. Ohanian cheers — he got the attention of one of his daughters!
“Good job, Didi. Thank you for humoring your father,” Ohanian says right before Didi drops the magazine on the floor.
“That firstborn sure keeps ya humble 😩😩😩 love you girls,” Ohanian captioned the post.
She said ‘I know, I see you…. Good for u papa…So ANYWAYS!’ 😂😂😂” one person commented. Another wrote, “You’re raising them right when they’re not affected by how the world sees you – they see you as papa first. That’s LOVE right there.”
“She’s soooo unimpressed 😂 It be your own kids,” someone else wrote. Another commented, “It’s the second and EMPHATIC ‘Noo’ that took me OUT 😂😂😂” Same! These girls are so funny, and this is the perfect example of how parents just can’t do anything to impress their kids.
Back in August, the dad of two shared a sweet message about being a girl dad to his Instagram followers. “My girls show me the world in ways I never saw before: kind, sweet, and okay… a little chaotic,” he wrote. “It’s made me more empathetic—and better at building the things that actually matter.”
And when he does get attention from the girls? He can’t get enough of it! “I am a sucker for the unsolicited hug or the unsolicited, ‘I love you, Papa,’” he said on an episode on his Business Dad podcast last year. “It is pure black tar heroin of addiction. When it comes out of nowhere and it hits you, it is the greatest joy and high ever.”
“And then if I get a hug with it or a kiss on the cheek, it has made my month,” he added. “Maybe that’s why it’s so special because you can’t control it.” We’ve certainly seen how true that is!
