British music star Ed Sheeran spent part of his summer in Croatia, where he filmed the video for his latest song Camera alongside actress Phoebe Dynevor.
The video, which was released this week, features Dynevor as Sheeran’s love interest.
The pair filmed on island of Hvar, in the city of Split, and on a number of picturesque beaches along the coast using just an iPhone.
During his stay in Split, Sheeran and the crew filmed on the terrace of Hotel Ambasador. As a farewell gesture, the hotel surprised the singer with an away Hajduk Split football kit.
“What an honor it was to welcome Ed Sheeran to Hotel Ambasador! After filming part of his latest music video on our rooftop, our General Manager, Stipe Medić, made sure he experienced a true taste of Split – a jersey from our beloved Hajduk, sporting his name and favorite number on the back. Thank you, Ed, for choosing to feature Hotel Ambasador. We love seeing Split on the world stage through your music,” the hotel wrote, sharing a photo of Sheeran with the shirt.
Football holds a special place in Sheeran’s life. The singer is a lifelong supporter of Ipswich Town, his hometown club, where he is also a shareholder. He has previously sponsored the team’s shirts and owns the number 17 shirt.
