Shamrock Rovers will host Dundalk on the opening night of the new League of Ireland season before Bohemians face St. Patrick’s Athletic at the Aviva Stadium two days later. The fixtures were released on Tuesday morning.
Following a league and FAI Cup double this year, the Hoops will clash with newly promoted Dundalk, who return to the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division with a bang on Friday, 6 February at Tallaght Stadium
Stephen Bradley’s team will travel back to Dundalk on the final day as they aim to reclaim their title after this year’s triumph. After over 33,000 people attended the Aviva opener for Bohemians last season with Shamrock Rovers, Bohs will call the stadium home once more as Stephen Kenny’s Saints are the visitors on Sunday, 8 February at 14:00.

Last season’s runners-up Derry City will welcome Sligo Rovers to The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium in their opening clash while 2024 champions Shelbourne travel to Waterford on the opening night.
In the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, Champions Athlone Town face the trip to Sligo Rovers while Sean Russell’s first game in charge of Shelbourne will be a clash with his old side Treaty United on Saturday, 14 March.
The battle for promotion in the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division is set to commence with a Munster derby, as Cork City go head-to-head with Treaty United on Friday, 13 February. Meanwhile, Bray Wanderers will face off against Longford Town, following their Play-Off run last season.
Bohemians are preparing to kick-off their final season at Dalymount at the Aviva Stadium. Their last men’s match at the historic ground before its redevelopment will see them host Shelbourne, echoing the venue’s inaugural game back in September 1901 when the two Dublin teams first clashed.
The SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division match between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers is slated to be the club’s final fixture at the stadium, according to today’s announcement.

The 2026 Men’s President’s Cup will kick-start the season on Saturday, 31 January, with Shamrock Rovers hosting Derry City at Tallaght Stadium at 17:00. The Women’s President’s Cup will get underway on Sunday, 8 March at 14:00, featuring a match between Athlone Town and Shelbourne.
