Two action plans aimed at reducing childcare costs have been unveiled

The Government has unveiled its plan to tackle affordability in childcare. After promises in the Programme for Government to cap monthly childcare fees at €200, Children’s Minister Norma Foley has announced the first phase of the plan to get there.
Ms Foley launched two action plans today. The first, Shaping the Future, looks at short-term measures that will be brought in next year to help with cost, accessibility and quality.
