Donegal legends Clannad are set to reunite on stage once again for a star-studded concert at the 3Arena this February.
The band will join some of Ireland’s most iconic musicians for a Hot Press ‘History In The Making: The Concert’, marking 50 years of the magazine.
Other artists confirmed include Van Morrison, The Boomtown Rats, Imelda May and The Frames – the legendary band fronted by Glen Hansard, who are re-convening on the occasion.
Former President Michael D. Higgins will appear as a special guest on the night alongside musician Myles O’Reilly.
Clannad last performed what was billed as their final-ever live show at the Royal Albert Hall in London in October 2024.
Just a year later, they returned with a flourish, playing an intimate concert at Leo’s Tavern, their musical home in Crolly, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their iconic album Macalla. The show was held in aid of Donegal Cancer Flights.
Tickets for Hot Press History In The Making: The Concert at the 3Arena go on sale this Monday at 9am via Ticketmaster.ie (Pre-sale begins at 1pm on Friday, December 19)
