The Donegal Donkey Sanctuary (DDS) has launched a new fundraising drive to enable their residents to have enough treats for Christmas.
Baby Rose’s Christmas Treat Appeal was started on their GoFundMe page two days ago, and has already raised €1,300 of its €2,000 target.
“Who can resist these beautiful eyes searching for extra special treats for herself and her donkey friends for Christmas,” said Sandra Curran of DDS.
“Baby Rose is hoping for lots of extra meals, carrots, apples and ginger nut biscuits so that all the donkeys can enjoy a wonderful Christmas this year.”
This is especially important to any new arrivals who have come into their care over the last twelve months and who may never have known full tummies and the contentment of plenty.
