Ireland has a new millionaire tonight after one lucky ticket holder scooped a breathtaking €1m five days before Christmas.
Tonight’s Lotto Plus Raffle was guaranteed to create a new millionaire and within minutes of the draw taking place the exact location where the winning ticket was purchased was confirmed.
The ticket was bought in a Spar shop on Mountjoy Street, Dublin 7.
There was no winner of the €3.4m Lotto jackpot but more than 87,000 players across the country won prizes.
Two people matched five numbers plus the bonus ball earning them a more than €25,000 each.
The winning numbers in the main Lotto draw were 3; 15; 18; 20; 27 and 43 – Bonus 30.
There was no winners of the Lotto Plus One or Lotto Plus Two draws either.
The winning numbers for Lotto Plus One were: 9; 12; 27; 28; 36 and 40 – Bonus 47.
The winning numbers for Lotto Plus Two were: 13; 14; 25; 42; 44 and 45 – Bonus 11.
