A 58-year-old man is to stand trial over the murder of another man in Killybegs.
James Spendley of St Cummin’s Hill, Killybegs, was served a book of evidence relating to the case at Ballyshannon District Court today.
He is charged with the murder of 61-year-old Eddie Friel.
Eddie was found dead at his home on Sunday, April 13th.
Mr Spendley was arrested on a lesser charge relating to the death of Mr Friel in April and has remained in custody since then.
However, those lesser charges relating to the case were withdrawn, and changed to a charge of murder in October.
The case is expected to be heard at the next sitting of the Central Criminal Court in January.
