The bitter dispute between billionaires John Magnier and Maurice Regan over a multi-million euro land deal in Tipperary has escalated into the field of horse racing, with Magnier’s Coolmore refusing to do business with Regan’s stud.

Last month, Coolmore, one of the world’s biggest bloodstock companies, stopped doing business with Mr Regan’s Newtown Anner Stud, based outside Clonmel, where there are over 150 horses. Mr Regan has told the High Court he spent around €1m a year on Coolmore fees.
