A Co. Monaghan family has been named Ireland’s Fittest Family, after winning the competition last night.

The McKenna’s from Corraghbrack are a very active family who love sport.

The team consists of mum Sharon, her two sons Caolan and Cormac, along with her daughter Cailin who described herself to Northern Sound as a “fitness fanatic.”

The final was broadcast nationally on RTE 1 last night, with former Ireland international, Andrew Trimble, coaching the McKenna family through a series of difficult events.

After a nerve-wrecking finale, the McKenna family came out on top and were named Ireland’s Fittest Family.

Previously speaking to Northern Sound, Caolan McKenna said that he is proud of his family for what they achieved.
