A car crashed into the front of a café in Dublin city centre on Sunday night, causing extensive damage to the front of the premises.
Gardaí said attended the scene of a road traffic accident at roughly 11pm, in which a car had mounted the pavement and crashed through the front of Guud Day café on Chancery Street across from the Four Courts.
No injuries were reported, however the crash caused extensive damage to the shop’s entrance and windows.
In a statement, gardaí confirmed they attended the scene of a traffic incident on Chancery Street.

“Gardaí attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Chancery Street. Dublin 7, which occurred at approximately 10.50pm on Saturday 20th December 2025,” the statement said

The incident follows another crash in Dublin city centre last month, when a car mounted the pavement and crashed into the front of a Centra shop on Dame Street.
Gardaí and emergency services attended that scene at around 9pm, with gardaí confirming at the time that no serious injuries were reported, despite extensive damage to the shopfront.
